 Trails and Greenways
Mission Statement
The Trails and Greenways Commission encourages the utilization and conservation of green spaces and to enhance the Quality of Life for our community by providing a safe linear network for pedestrians, bicycle linkages between recreation sites, residential area, employment centers, schools and other urban activity centers.
Hope for Warriors Road Race - 5K, 10K, 1/2 Marathon
Saturday; May 15, 2010
The Hope for Warriors Road Race was co-sponsored by the City of Jacksonville and endorsed by the Trails and Greenways Commission. There were approximately 1,800 runners and the run successfully raised over $100,000.

Trail Rules
- No Littering
- Unauthorized motor vehicles prohibited
- Stay to the right
- Bicyclist yield to runners and both yield to walkers
- Pets must be on a leash not to exceed 6 feet and owners are responsible
- Public use/or display of alcoholic beverages is prohibited
- Possession and/or use of drugs is prohibited
- Possession and/or use of firearms, weapons and fireworks is prohibited
- So others may enjoy the trails, please do not disturb any of the plants
- Amplified music and sound are prohibited without a permit
- Hitting golf balls is prohibited
- WARNING: STAY OFF OF TRANSMISSION TOWERS/UTILITY POLES
