Citizens Advisory Boards

The City of Jacksonville encourages citizen participation through service on various Boards and Commissions.

Regular members of City Boards and Commissions are appointed by the Mayor and City Council.

The City has also initiated a "Shadow Leadership" concept, which allows appointments when there are no vacancies for regular membership positions. Shadow members enjoy all rights of regular members, but cannot vote or hold office.

To apply for appointment, please print a copy of the City of Jacksonville Application for Appointment to Boards and Commissions and submit it to the City Clerk's Office at City Hall.
