The City does not regulate charges made by cable franchises. The City does grant a franchise for operation in the City to Time Warner. You may reach Time Warner Cable by calling 910 353-3500.

Who do I call about getting my water hooked up?
To inquire about water hook-up please call the City's
Public Utilities at 910 938-5248. The City Water and Utilities billing division handles utility sign up, business licenses and other fees. For properties served by
Onslow County call the Onslow County Water Department at 910 455-0722.
I need my trash picked up OR I have an unusual piece of trash that needs picking up.

Can I burn my yard debris inside the city limits?
No. Open burning is not allowed inside the city limits except for special situations requiring a permit.

Why does a fire truck show up when I call for an ambulance?
The closest unit available is sent to provide emergency assistance until an ambulance arrives to transport the patient to the hospital.

The City’s population as of the last Census, April 2000 is 67,715.

Can I get a map of a particular neighborhood?
Yes. A kiosk is located in the lobby of the City Hall. You can zoom in to a specific property and print out a map for only 25-cents.
